Description: Auricle was originally a cassette label established by experimental musicians, collectors, journalist/writers: Alan & Steve Freeman from Leicester, England in 1986. It was launched (replacing Dark Star) to coincide with the first issue of Audion Magazine. Later, the label was resurrected/re-invented as a CD-R label. Auricle has issued lots of exclusive releases by various Freeman brothers projects, as well diverse international talent in the realms of underground and experimental music. Auricle has championed many unknowns that have since become famous.
