This 2x10" was released in a numbered edition of 1750 copies. The first 500 numbered copies were pressed on colored vinyl, while the rest of the edition (#'s 501-1750) were pressed on black vinyl. There also exist between 100-150 additional unnumbered copies stamped for promotional use only. "No." is stamped on each inner record sleeve and on the back of the fold-out cover.
These recordings are among the first made by The Abecedarians, all dating from 1983-1985 and preceding the release of their debut 12" on Factory Records in 1985.
"While some of the songs were later re-recorded for their Caroline Records releases of 1986-1987, we felt that the energy and the passion in these versions more accurately captures the soul of the band." (sleeve note)
All tracks recorded in Orange County, California, between 1983 and 1985 and most tracks mixed November 1990 at Motiv Studios, L.A.
A very different version of "They Said Tomorrow" appears on the "Scream" Compilation LP, and the other five songs have never before been released in any form whatsoever.
