Skating Pears

Skating Pears / Stack Orientation is an organization working out of Kyoto who have to date produced over a dozen cassettes on their Skating Pears label. Its sphere of operation is mainly urban rock as they have several releases, including various compilations which feature a variety of cold wave, PIL-influenced bands who combine strange Japanese motifs with pounding rhythms, elaborate guitar riffs, synthetics, etc. All of their releases have stunning packaging, perhaps the best is OBJECTLESS by Osamu Sato.
