Issued on gradient blue Chrysalis labels in a cardboard semi-glossy picture sleeve opening at the top, initial copies with a printed 'obi'-style horizontal paper strip stating "The debut album from Generation X" on the front and with a track listing on rear. 
Later pressings with identical labels were issued in a regular side opening sleeve.

Both matrices are stamped with Porky's messages hand-etched.
