General Purpose Cassettes
Years running:
Country: United States
Description:
General Purpose Cassettes was a non-profit organization, founded by Alex Kane, whose idea was to produce 60-minute split-cassettes by the groups from the American underground electronic scene from 1990 to 1995. Espoused music styles were aggressive and hard-beat. The unique packaging of releases contained an art booklet, poetry, texts, information and contacts. Later, it changed its name to GPC Productions, a full-fledged non-profit label, and produced CDs.
